Health Ministry Agenda
The Mission of the Full Gospel Baptist Church Health Ministry is to improve the health of the congregation and community through increasing health awareness. Our people perish for a lack of knowledge. Our motto is “Getting an Understanding”. Once believers deeply understand, healthy behaviors will follow.
The Health Ministry agenda will focus on 3 major areas:
1. Medical Home Initiative
This program is designed to accomplish the goal of each member of every Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship Church being able to identify a primary care Doctor.
2. The Full Gospel Baptist Church Hospice Program
The Hospice Program is called Members helping Members where clergy and lay persons can be trained as hospice volunteers to help those that doctors have said have less than 6 months to live. You can sign up at our website to receive all of the information. This program is chiefly sponsored by our partners at Vitas.
3. HIV/Aids 5K Run-Walk
This event is held annually as a pre conference activity during the week of our International gathering. It is used to educate the community of this deadly virus and raise funds for Ministries through out the Fellowship. For registration see the FGBCF Conference Website or to host a Aids Faith Walk in your District/State or Region please contact the Director of Health and Wellness.
